House keeping issues and meet my “kids”

I’m a little behind on announcing this on my blog, but Erin Alaine Photography is relocating… to Tennessee… Nashville to be exact. Yep, that’s right. Keith and I will be southerners! While the Nashville talk has been something that has come up on and off for about a year, we feel like now is the time to make the move. Why Nashville, you might ask. For starters, my dad had an accident in May that left him paralyzed from the shoulders down. He’s making a recovery, but it’s been slow. After the accident, being almost 2,000 miles away from my family has been difficult. Nashville is only a 6 hour drive away. 6 hours? Shoot, that’s nothing. Also, because my husband is a music producer, Nashville is a good place for him to go to continue his work.

While we are excited to begin this new chapter of our lives, we’re extremely sad to be leaving Southern California. We’ve made some GREAT friends here and love our church, and- let’s be honest- the weather ain’t too bad either. We do plan on coming back to Cali a lot. In fact, I’ve already got a flight booked to come back for a photo shoot in November. With THAT being said, I don’t want you to forget that I DO travel! Southwest has direct flights from Nashville to LA. So, just because I won’t be living here, that doesn’t mean photo shoots here are off limits. I’m just saying… ; )

I also have a few exciting traveling shoots in the works! Those of you in Columbus, OH, if you’d be interested in booking a shoot, send me an email. I’m planning a trip out there, but will narrow down a date based on interest level/availability. So hit me up!

While thinking about the upcoming move, I was going through all the people we’re going to miss here. A few of those people are the three kids that I nanny for. I’ve spent 5 days a week with these kids for almost 3 years and just now noticed that I have virtually no pictures of them! I find that pretty ironic considering that I’m a photographer. That’s why, on Friday, I decided to remedy the situation. So, I’d like to introduce you to my “kids.”

Ali – People ask us if we’re sisters all the time. I don’t mind it. I hope she doesn’t either.
